Finishing

In the end a superb hand finish is often the difference between art & craft. Wood finishes are designed to complement the characteristics of the wood as well as other case goods. Many finishes are available which incorporate techniques such as hand rubbing distressing and colour padding to enhance the natural beauty of each piece. On special request actual gold leaf / silver gliding is done on the furniture pieces.

The hardwood frame is carefully machined to control the contours of the upholstery fabric with double dowelled joints and corner blocks to maintain rigidity and prevent twisting and wobbling even after years of use.
