Manufacturing process
A. Furniture
- Dried and treated wood is hand planed to add a sense of depth or
inflection to the surface.
- We use the old tradition of cut-to-fit and refit using mortise,
tenon, double dowel, English dovetail joints.

The result is a tightly fit, truly rugged furniture piece.
B. Stonecraft
Every stone articles and each colored stone blocks are selected and brought
to the factory and given in the hands of veteran stone artisans. It is in
their hands that the stone piece comes to life with each grain and plane
crafted according to age old traditions. On every carved piece the craftsmen
work with same crisp cuts and often the same countless gouges of varying
sizes, sweep
C. Upholstery
Fine upholstery is measured by its appeal to the eye, the quality of its
materials, the level of craftsmanship and the level of comfort. Hardwood
frame is carefully machined to control the contours of the upholstery fabric
with double dowelled joints and corner blocks to maintain rigidity and
prevent twisting and wobbling even after years of use.
Flow matching of fabrics is done so that the patterns appear to flow
uninterrupted throughout the piece. This is difficult to achieve, but is a
distinct signature of quality upholstery.
Finishing process
A. Furniture
Wood finishes are designed to complement the characteristics of the wood as
well as other case goods. Many finishes are available which incorporate
techniques such as hand rubbing, distressing and color padding to enhance
the natural beauty of each piece. On special request actual gold leaf/silver
leaf gilding is also done.
B. Stonecraft
Rugged surface fully chiseled to varying levels to suit the character of
each piece.
Packing process
A. Furniture
Each piece is wrapped in virgin polythene and bubble sheets. The final
packing is done in hardwood framed crates to insure safe delivery of the
products
B. Stonecraft
Packing depends upon the size of the articles. Small products, up to 18
inches height, are manually packed in one/two pieces in a wooden crate box.
In case of bigger products such as urns and vases the packing is done by
knocking the product into two parts i.e. upper and lower part.
Generally the lower part is wrapped in foam and put inside the upper part
and then it is packed into wooden crate box. 5 mm ply is used to cover the
box to prevent damage. Thermacol /foam sheet layer is also put between the
wooden crate box and the stone article to prevent damage.
Infrastructure
The manufacturing process of stone articles and sandstone articles are
handled in a well-appointed factory in the industrial area of Jaipur. A
dedicated lot of furniture and stonecraft designers carefully work out
proportions and wood graining/natural stone pattern in each piece. Master
craftsmen work on individual pieces with their age old techniques.
